🇪🇸

Spanish, French, German

Limited support — basic conversational only. Complex consultations: English fallback. We don't claim fluency we don't have.

🇸🇬

Other Southeast Asian

English-fluent communication standard for ASEAN patients. Most ASEAN patients comfortable in English at sufficient level.

🌍

Other languages

Email-based written communication preferred with translation tools. In-person English fallback. Honest about limitations.

What we DON'T provide

Honest limitations.

Outside-clinic translation

Banking, immigration, hotel, restaurant translation. JRYN handles JRYN-related conversations only. For these, use Naver Papago or Google Translate.

Legal/insurance document translation

Bilingual receipts and treatment records standard. Formal insurance claim translation requiring notarization recommended via professional translation services.

Simultaneous interpretation

For complex technical/legal discussions, written documentation in multiple languages more reliable than verbal interpretation. We provide written; verbal works for clinical context.

Unrelated personal documents

Marriage certificates, business contracts, immigration paperwork. Out of scope. Korea has many professional translation services for these.

Language support fit

  • Value pre-arrival WhatsApp consultation
  • Want bilingual written documentation

Plan ahead if you

  • Need legal-level interpretation (we provide written)

  • Need formal legal interpretation for non-treatment matters
  • Require deaf accommodations beyond written communication
  • Want translation of unrelated personal documents

Future trips automatically schedule appropriate bilingual staff. No need to re-explain language needs each time.

Frequently asked

FAQ · Translator services
questions.

Is the translator service really free?
Yes — included as standard with foreign patient visits. No translator fee, no language surcharge, no foreign-patient premium. KHIDI registration requires non-discriminatory pricing for foreign patients; JRYN follows this strictly.
How fluent are the bilingual staff?
Tier 3 fluency for English, Japanese, Mandarin (multiple staff at native or near-native level for medical terminology). Pre-test via WhatsApp before flying — send a complex question and gauge response quality.
What if I speak a less common language?
English is fallback. Most non-English-speaking patients from ASEAN, Europe, Latin America are comfortable in English at sufficient medical consultation level. We're honest about limitations.
Does Dr. Lee speak my language?
Dr. Lee speaks functional clinical English. For Japanese and Mandarin, communication goes through bilingual staff translation. Most foreign patients describe the experience as smooth.
Can I bring my own translator?
Yes — welcome. Some patients bring family members or experienced friends. JRYN's staff still handle consent forms and aftercare; your translator supplements rather than replaces.
How do I confirm language quality before flying?
Pre-test via WhatsApp with complex question: 'I had Restylane filler 3 months ago in my nasolabial fold; can you do Ultherapy without dissolving the filler?' Fluent clinics respond fluently. Verifiable.
Is consent form really in my language?
Yes — JRYN provides consent forms in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean. Lists exact treatment scope, outcomes, side effects, aftercare. Signed in your language before procedure.
What if there's a language gap during treatment?
JRYN protocol: stop and clarify. Multiple bilingual staff on duty mean second translator can be brought in if confusion arises. Treatment proceeds only after explicit understanding.
Phone translation services used?
Generally not. In-person bilingual staff approach produces better consultation flow. We don't rely on third-party phone translation.
How do I book in my language?
WhatsApp +82-10-3951-7576 (English/Japanese/Mandarin) or email international@seomyeondermatologyclinic.com. Within 24h response in your language with treatment plan, pricing, and appointment slot.
